If you're planning to purchase a pre-owned Travel Trailer, Fifth Wheel, or Motorhome, you can avoid surprises with an RV Inspection. Similar to a home inspection, an RV inspection will let you know about the condition of the various systems on the RV. While I can't evaluate everything, I can check for propane and plumbing leaks, confirm that all appliances work correctly, check electric brakes, check battery condition, evaluate roof condition and assess for water leaks. I don't work on motorhome engines, but I can evaluate the RV side of the coach. The more you know, the better you are equipped to make an informed decision.
Whether you just purchased a new camper, or you ARE the new camper, I can help you better understand your RV and how to use its systems. I'll review what maintenance is required to make your RV more dependable and what you can do to avoid future problems.
If you are new to the RV lifestyle, I will review best camping practices to avoid creating problems and issues with your RV. We can also review campground etiquette and what you can do to get the most enjoyment from your RV. I enjoy working with people new to the RV lifestyle to help them get off to a great start.
If your air conditioner, furnace, absorption refrigerator, water heater or other appliance isn't working correctly, I will troubleshoot the issue and get you back in business. I carry an inventory of parts to address many common issues without a follow up visit.
We also offer Lock Out Service. If you've lost your key, we'll work to get you into your coach, minimizing damage with a large collection of master keys.
I can winterize your water system when you're ready to put it away for the season. In the spring, we can de-winterize and sanitize the system. If you have on onboard generator, I can change the oil and filters to keep it running smoothly. I can also check your roof for cracked or missing caulking to address issues before they lead to costly water damage.
Before you start off the new camping season, we can do a "yearly checkup". I'll pressure check your propane system for leaks and adjust propane pressure, if needed. I will pressure-check your water system for leaks, as well. I'll check the condition of your battery and confirm that your converter is working. I'll check to make sure your electric brakes are working and check the roof for any cracked caulking or leaks. We can combine this with dewinterization and sanitation of the water system (if you are hooked up to a sewer drain). This is a great way to start off your camping season on the right foot.
We don't work on the "automotive" side of motorhomes. This includes issues with the engine, transmission, engine oil changes, etc. We don't work on motorhome brakes, or disc brakes. We don't do work on generators except for routine service of oil and air filter changes. Diagnostic and repairs often require removal of the generator which is not practical in a mobile service setting. Black tank blockages are referred to a local plumbing service. Lastly, we do not work on residential refrigerators.
As our service calls are scheduled in advance, we typically do not handle "road side emergencies". These are typically automotive related and not a service we offer.
